Conference Agenda & Speakers
• Day One: Dealing with Difficult Behaviors – Dr. Sigurd Zielke, clinical specialist in neurobehavioral science. Help students develop capacity for “school-compatible” behavior, civil functioning, and motivation to grow as learners. Facilitate in your students a “healthy addiction” toward learning as an expression of civility toward others and the world at large.
• Day Two: How the Brain Works – Ken Wesson, international education consultant, university instructor, and learning specialist. Discover the natural progression of concept development and learn the factors in driving attention, motivation, learning, and memory systems.
• Day Three: Understanding and Preventing Bullying – Horacio Sanchez, author and founder of the Resiliency Institute. Discover why some children fail while others succeed. Learn what you can do to make students more successful.
Each day, Jean Blaydes Madigan, internationally known Neurokinesiologist, will energize us with dynamic activities that support and demonstrate the importance of movement in the learning process by teaching academics kinesthetically. There will also be roundtable discussions and applications to the classroom.
Each general presentation is followed by a question and answer session, and SKA associates will lead round table discussions on the practical application of this valuable information. Join us at The Center in Federal Way, Washington for this dynamic, life-changing event.
The conference begins at 8:30am on Wednesday, August 1st, and ends at 4:30pm on Friday, August 3rd.
